In the late 1970’s I used to buy and sell parts for vintage cars to support my lifelong hobby of old cars and motorcycles. An old school-friend phoned me because his Morris minor was stuck in the middle of the road as its front suspension had collapsed. Did I want to buy the car for spares for £15? I did.

It had an interesting number plate, WLM 15; I’d recently noticed the cherished registration section of Exchange and Mart, so I phoned a local company. They paid me £50 cash and collected the car. £35 was a day’s takings in the small vegetarian restaurant I owned and ran. That experience changed my life. Since then I’ve bought and sold many old vehicles and registrations.

These days, I run www.BAR641N.com as a part-time business. I do not have access to millions of plates as other dealers do. I’d rather keep my business small and manageable. I supply the big dealers. But, thanks to the wonders of the internet, you can now buy from me directly if you wish to secure one of the cherished registrations advertised here.

I sell my plates on ebay as well as through the trade, so stock changes frequently. If you want to buy one, it’s advisable to email or phone me promptly.

My prices are the cheapest in the UK because I work harder for my money, have a keen eye for a deal, and I keep my overheads and administration costs to an absolute minimum. As a result…
